Nancy Brunemann is NgEK’s CFO. Her meticulous attention to detail, passion for organization, and process development provides NgEK with the critical leadership in accounting, human resources, and financial management. She has over 25 years experience in team development, day to day business operations, and management in both public and private sector businesses. Following the September 11, 2000 crisis, Nancy coordinated the financial relief efforts at the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Red Cross resulting in one of the most successful fund raising campaigns in the country. Nancy began her career as a cost accountant with Peabody Coal where she was responsible for maintaining the company’s financial records managing the raw material distribution and accounting system. In 1981 she joined the American Red Cross in Cincinnati as a staff accountant. In her tenure with the Red Cross, she held a variety of management positions including Director of Accounting. In this role, Nancy over saw the accounting and purchasing organizations including 11 direct reports. She has a passion for information technology and let the implementation at the Red Cross during the Y2K transition and resulting process improvements. Through these efforts, the Red Cross in Cincinnati became a model for other agency members. She continues to share her wealth of knowledge in financial management through volunteer work and currently serves at the business and finance manager for Saint William Church and School in Cincinnati.
